MXI Security has announced the next generation of its Stealth MXP Bio encrypted USB drive. The new drive includes both biometric and strong password technology, offering 1-, 2-, or 3-factor authentication.
All authentication processes including biometrics are handled on the hardware, isolating it completely from the host computer. Given the latest news of USB drives not being as secure as they should be, MXI is hitting on a timely issue.
The Stealth MXP Bio offers digital identity and PKI token services ranging from RSA SecurID and OATH OTP to on-board key generation, digital signatures, and secure key & certificate containers.
The drive also incorporates the latest version of MXI Security’s Bluefly processor and AES-256 CBC hardware encryption of all on-board data.
Beyond all of this protection the drive is also waterproof and dustproof. The drive is available now, pricing is not public.
