You can also set it up to receive alerts on both iOS and Android mobile devices when sounds are detected. We previously reviewed Netgear's Arlo Wireless HD Camera System and found it simple to setup and manage, making it ideal for home users.

The Arlo Q cameras are AC-powered and connect directly to any existing WiFi network. It leverages a 130-degree wide-angle lens, which allows users to see entire rooms from corner to corner. Netgear has also made it easy to physically set up the device, as it supports multiple mounting options, including desktop, magnetic, or wall mounts; this makes it a very flexible device and useful in variety of applications. For extra reliability, Arlo Q uses dual band WiFi for the highest wireless range and performance possible without interference.

Arlo Q features activity zones and alert times that can be created and customized to your specific needs. Additionally, users can set up smart detection abilities in order to minimize false alarms caused by lighting changes, natural background movement, and normal ambient sounds.

Arlo Q’s purchasers are given a free basic video cloud storage plan, which stores both motion- and sound-triggered videos in the cloud for seven days at no cost. For an additional fee, users can add the Continuous Video Recording plan (CVR plan), which continuously uploads everything your cameras records to the cloud, allowing users to have easy access without worrying about storage issues.
