Netgear Updates ReadyNAS Line with Apple/Android Support, Better Performance

Netgear has updated its line of ReadyNAS Ultra home performance storage systems with new firmware that increases performance up to 50 percent. To top it off, the company has also lowered the price of the units.


Netgear has updated its line of ReadyNAS Ultra home performance storage systems with new firmware that increases performance up to 50 percent. To top it off, the company has also lowered the price of the units.

The new feature list includes two ReadyNAS Remote apps for Apple iOS and Android mobile devices. This allows users to connect to their ReadyNAS through their phones and access personal music, movies, and files stored on the device.

 



Netgear has updated the ReadyNAS with the new RAIDiator firmware version 4.2.17, which increases HD video playback and transfer speeds by 50 percent or more. Furthermore, the firmware adds support for 3TB hard drives.
