Cisco Declares A Cash Dividend

Cisco declared that it would be paying a cash dividend to its investors. The dividend is $0.29/common share and will be paid out on January 24, 2018. The previous cash dividend paid out in October 2017 was for the same amount, $0.29/common share.

Cloudian Announces ConnectStore For Axis Cameras

In an effort to take limits off of the amount of surveillance footage that can be captured, Cloudain has announced its S3 API-compatible connector, ConnectStore. This connector can be installed directly on Axis cameras, enabling them to directly transmit data to Cloudian HyperStore S3-compatible object storage system. As the quality of camera footage increases, as well as the use cases past surveillance, companies will need more capacity for their video footage such as this.

Rubrik Achieves Common Criteria EAL2+

Rubrik is happy to announced that its cloud data management product is the first to achieve the EAL2+ of the Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation. This achievement makes Rubrik an even more attractive option for government jobs.

Archive360 Announces Its Archive2Azure Supports Microsoft Archive Blob Storage Tier

Archive360 announced that its Archive2Azure with support for Microsoft Archive Blob Storage Tier is available today. Archive2Azure is a native, cloud-managed solution for archiving and a long-term data management, built specifically for Azure. With the addition the support announced for Blob Storage, Archive360 delivers “complete” support for Microsoft Azure.

Apposite Announces 100Gb/s Network Emulator

Apposite Technologies announced the release of its 100Gb/s network emulator, Netropy 100G. The Netropy 100G can emulate 5, 40, 50 and 100Gbps WAN links allowing users to see how performance will be impacted before taking the product to market. The Netropy 100G is expected to be available next month.

Toshiba Begins Sampling Its Automotive UFS

Toshiba Memory America announced that its Automotive UFS (JEDEC ver. 2.1 HS-G3) embedded memory solutions are now sampling. The new UFS devices are based on Toshiba’s 15nm technology promising higher performance. The new solutions come in capacities of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.

StreamSets Releases Control Hub

StreamSets announced the release of its StreamSets Control Hub. Features include:

  • Hosted dataflow designer for collaborative design of smart pipelines and topologies that can execute anywhere, from edge devices to the data center and across multiple cloud providers
  • Automated deployment and scalable execution of dataflows via Kubernetes today, and other container management methods in the future
  • A development toolkit that provides a programmatic interface for automated build and scalable execution of pipelines, with support for Java and Python
  • Governance integration with enterprise catalogs, starting with Cloudera Navigator and Apache Atlas
  • Flexible hosting options, including via cloud.streamsets.com, private cloud, public cloud and on premises

Instana Secures $20 Million In Series B Funding

The AI-backed monitoring company, Instana, announced that it was able to secure an addition $20 millino in Series B funding. The Series was led by Accel with participation from Tartget Partners. This round brings the total funding to $27 million.
