Since 2018, The NetApp and NVIDIA partnership has served hundreds of customers with a range of solutions, from building AI Centers of Excellence to solving large-scale AI training challenges. The qualification of the NetApp EF600 with BeeGFS files system for NVIDIA’s DGX SuperPOD is just the latest addition to a complete set of AI solutions developed by the two companies.

The NetApp EF600 is s 2U all-NVMe system built to accelerate data access by delivering high-performance write IOPS and read/write throughput on an end-to-end NVMe storage platform. The EF600 combines extreme IOPS, response times of less than 100 microseconds, and up to 44GBps of bandwidth for performance-sensitive workloads such as Oracle databases, real-time analytics, and high-performance computing applications on top of a BeeGFS high-performance parallel file system.

NVIDIA designed the DGX SuperPOD to meet growing security and scalability requirements as AI adoption broadens. Enterprise IT departments are forced to support the work of multiple teams at different locations, while academic and research institutions often grant outside organizations access to their computing resources. The DGX SuperPOD features BlueField-2 DPUs, data processing units that offload, accelerate and isolate users’ data providing customers with secure connections to their AI infrastructure.

NetApp’s NVIDIA-accelerated solutions include ONTAP AI to eliminate guesswork for faster adoption by using a field-proven reference architecture and a preconfigured, integrated solution that is easy to procure and deploy. NVIDIA DGX Foundry is included as one of the NetApp solutions featuring NVIDIA Base Command software and NetApp Keystone Flex Subscription.  The DGX Foundry is a hosted infrastructure solution for businesses needing a premium AI development experience but not wanting to build it themselves.

Today, the announcement gives organizations the ability to build on-premises AI Centers of Excellence with the power of DGX SuperPOD in combination with NetApp storage. The two companies also offer tailored solutions for industries such as financial services, medicine, manufacturing, retail, higher education, and government while sponsoring and facilitating ideation workshops for customers embarking on the AI journey.
