The OCZ Enyo comes with an anodized aluminum housing and will start shipping soon. No pricing was announced, though we expect the Enyo to fall in line more or less with OCZ’s high-end internal SSD pricing.
The market need for such speed in an external enclosure isn’t clear, but that’s never stopped OCZ before, who enjoys making limited edition SSDs and other niche products to differentiate themselves from the vast array of competition. That said, if you’re one of the few who need scorching fast transfer speeds to an external drive and are willing to pay the presumably high price, the Enyo line could be a viable option.
