Fusion-io has announced a partnership with NetApp to integrate Fusion-io’s server-side flash and caching products with the NetApp Virtual Storage Tier. The two companies are collaborating on compatibility between the Fusion ioMemory platform and NetApp’s Data ONTAP operating system, as well as caching solutions including NetApp Flash Cache, NetApp Flash Pool and Fusion-io caching software.

D-Link has announced the DSN-6000 Series iSCSI SAN Array, designed with feedback from small to mid-size enterprises, state and federal government agencies, and educational institutions, with capacities up to 180TB. The DSN-6000 series offers data protection features including snapshot, volume cloning, and remote replication at no additional cost.

Dell’s new Big Data Retention Solution combines Dell object storage with optimized RainStor database technology to provide consolidated and scalable storage for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. Coraid has announced its new ZX-Series family of servers for cloud, video, and big data. The ZX-Series is powered by the ZFS file system along with Coraid’s EtherDrive technology, which abstracts distributed SAN storage as a local disk.

Crucial today announced the availability of the m4 mSATA Solid State Drive (SSD), designed to be mounted to an mSATA motherboard as primary storage for ultrathin laptops or as cache for slower hard drive storage. The m4 offers a consumer alternative to the similar Micron C400 mSATA SSD that we have reviewed previously. 

Infortrend has announced North American availability of two new product lines, the EonNAS Pro (tower) and EonNAS 1000 Series (rackmount), intended for the SMB and SOHO storage market. The EonNAS Pro and EonNAS 1000 series offer deduplication, ZFS checksum, snapshot and pool mirror features.
