Western Digital Updates WD 2go Mobile Apps

Western Digital has released new mobile apps for accessing personal content on the go – WD 2go and WD 2go Pro. The apps are available from both Apple’s App Store and the Android Market and interface with WD’s My Book Live external hard drive. Content on the drive may also be accessed through the browser through WD2go.com.

Corsair Updates Flash Drives to USB 3.0

Corsair has released USB 3.0 versions of their Flash Voyager GT, Flash Voyager, and Flash Survivor USB flash drives. The updates are highlighted by the flagship Voyager GT which has a rugged all-rubber housing, comes in 32GB and 64GB capacities and offers read speeds of 135 MB/sec and writes of 83 MB/sec.

OCZ Nocti and Strata mSATA SSDs Quietly Released

Tokyo-based parts company Ask Corporation has announced it will release a pair of mSATA SSDs made by OCZ in mid-September. Measuring a mere 30mm wide and 50mm deep, the Nocti and Strata series are both built around 20nm MLC NAND flash memory. Both series support the current mSATA maximum bandwidth of 3 GB/s.
