Toshiba has announced the MBF series of enterprise hard drives. The 2.5" drives come in a top capacity of 600GB. The drives are also the first to incorporate Toshiba’s enterprise-class self encrypting drive (SED) offering, which encrypts data within the storage device.

Walton Chaintech has launched an interesting product in the SSD space. The Apogee SSD Convertor takes up to two CompactFlash cards, in RAID 0 or RAID1 no less, and mounts them in a standard 2.5" form factor with SATA II connector. Seagate has announced their latest 2.5" enterprise hard drive, the 600GB Savvio 10K.4 (model #ST9600204SS). Aside from offering the highest capacity in the 2.5" form factor, Seagate is also claiming the most reliable crown too, with 2 million hour MTBF.
