Toshiba has announced the MBF series of enterprise hard drives. The 2.5" drives come in a top capacity of 600GB. The drives are also the first to incorporate Toshiba’s enterprise-class self encrypting drive (SED) offering, which encrypts data within the storage device.

Walton Chaintech Apogee SSD Convertor Turns CF Cards Into a 2.5″ SSD

Walton Chaintech has launched an interesting product in the SSD space. The Apogee SSD Convertor takes up to two CompactFlash cards, in RAID 0 or RAID1 no less, and mounts them in a standard 2.5" form factor with SATA II connector. The end result is a pseudo SSD that offers "blazingly fast" transfer speeds.

Kingston Second Generation SSDNow V-Series Released

Seagate has announced their latest 2.5" enterprise hard drive, the 600GB Savvio 10K.4 (model #ST9600204SS). Aside from offering the highest capacity in the 2.5" form factor, Seagate is also claiming the most reliable crown too, with 2 million hour MTBF.
