LSI has expanded their 6Gb/s SAS card family with new high port count storage adapters. They support both internal storage and external JBOD expansion and range from 4 to 28 ports in a variety of configurations.

Other World Computing has announced their Multi-Mount adapter kits for installing 2.5-inch hard drives and SSDs into 3.5-inch bays. Kits are available for Mac, Mac Pro, and PC tower computers.

Lexar has announced the 128GB Echo SE USB portable backup drive. The drive activates when plugged in, making it easy for consumers to back up their valuable data. 

Barely two months after refreshing their Force line of SSDs, Corsair has added three more capacities to the lineup; 40GB, 80GB and 160GB. These complement the existing l60GB, 120GB and 240GB SSDs. The three new capacities feature the same SandForce SF-1200 processor and 285MB/s read and 270MB/s write speeds.

Kanguru Solutions has announced its latest security product, the Kanguru Defender Basic. This entry-level device features hardware encryption and is designed for everyday use.

Samsung has announced it is now shipping its Spinpoint MT2 2.5-inch hard drive with 750GB and 1TB capacities.

ADATA has launched the S596 Turbo SSD powered by the JMicron JMF616 processor. Despite the self-proclaimed title of "the First JMF616 SSD on Earth," which they’re not, the S596 Turbo comes in capacities of 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. At the highest end, users can expect speeds of 260MB/s read and 210MB/s write. 

Seagate introduced their latest consumer storage product, the GoFlex Home Network Storage System. It can wirelessly access files and backup multiple computers when connected to a wireless router.

Synology announced its latest high-performance NAS servers for small business – the RackStation RS810+ and DiskStation DS411+. The RS810+ offers up to 16TB of storage and the DS411+ is a four-bay unit with up to 100MB/s read and write speeds with RAID 5.
