Patriot Memory has announced their new Mac Series XT SSDs and SODIMM lines, optimized for Mac computers. The Mac Series XT SSD includes a SandForce SF-2281 processor and SATA 6Gb/s interface to deliver 520 MB/s reads, 500 MB/s writes and 80,000 IOPS. If you’re asking why the Mac Series XT is different from Patriot’s other three lines of SATA 6Gb/s SSDs, it’s mainly that the Mac SSDs are tested at the Apple Developer Compatibility Labs for optimal quality and reliability.
