Wasabi offers a hot cloud storage that is tier-free and aimed at enterprise. Wasabi’s storage is S3-complaint making it compatible with storage applications, gateways, and other platforms. Being tier free reduces complexity, thus increasing cost predictability. Speaking of costs, Wasabi states that its cloud storage is 1/5th the price of Amazon S3, and there are no fees for egress or API requests.

Released a few months back, HybridMount is a File-based Cloud Gateway that allows QNAP NAS users to access cloud storage with standard protocols (including SMB, FTP, AFP, NFS, and WebDAV). With the Wasabi integration, users can accelerate access to Wasabi with HybridMount. QNAP VJBOD Cloud is a block-based cloud storage gateway that enables users to further enhance availability and reliability with access to a local data store. HBS 3 is the company’s backup/restore/synchronization solution to help with DR and had utilize cloud storage services. Now with Wasabi, the above service can leverage the cloud storage for lower costs at higher performance.
