The TS-x73AU supports AES-NI encryption, SATA 6Gb/s drives and up to 32GB dual-channel DDR4 RAM. It also supports either one PCIe Gen3 x8 or two PCIe Gen3 x4 slots, allowing users to install expansion cards for added flexibility, including a 5GbE/10GbE network card, a QXG-10G2SF-CX4 PCIe 10GbE Adapter with Mellanox ConnectX-4 embedded to add iSER (iSCSI Extension for RDMA) support, and a M.2 SSD caching via a QM2 card. You can also add a graphics card for advanced graphics processing or GPU-intensive applications, or a QNAP 16Gb Fibre Channel card to turn the TS-x73AU into a SAN storage device.

The TS-x73AU Series supports advanced business features that promote management efficiency and continuous operation and security through local/remote/cloud backup, Google G Suite and Microsoft 365 backup and cloud storage gateways. Moreover, block-based snapshots ensure data protection and instant restoration, and helps to protect data from encryption-based virus threats. The TS-x73AU also has the ability to scale as businesses grow, as you can connect it to a QNAP SAS, PCIe to SATA or USB storage expansion enclosure. You can use VJBOD as well to utilize the unused storage capacity of other QNAP NAS.
