The G-series’ casing has a multi-leveled glitter surface that protects the drive from fine scratches. Drives are available in four colors – olive green, coral blue, silver white, and cobalt black. They come with Samsung Auto Backup for ongoing data preservation, SecretZoneTM software for personal data encryption and SafetyKey™ for password protection.
The G-series drives will be available globally by mid-January 2010. Pricing is $199 for the 2TB G3 station and 640GB G2 Portable, respectively. They carry three-year warranties.
