SanDisk has announced the availability of the SanDisk X300 SSD which is designed for enterprise client environments. The X300 takes advantage of the latest advancements in X3 technology to allow for a focus on user experience with high-performance, while utilizing extensive error-correction to increase reliability and provide peace of mind for today’s CIOs and IT decision makers. The X300 also comes with an improved SSD Dashboard to provide users with visibility into the drive’s performance, security, and available firmware updates. SanDisk indicates that this will help to maintain peak performance at all times.

The X300 leverages SanDisk’s advanced 1Ynm X3 flash technology (TLC NAND) and is equipped with nCache 2.0 technology, a tiered caching technology that combines SLC and X3/TLC flash blocks to improve endurance, increase efficiency, and boost performance particularly in corporate workloads including office productivity applications, media creation or financial transactions. In addition, the X300 SSD also includes an error handling mechanism that utilizes XOR recovery technology to implement an extra layer of data protection. As a result, this improves the reliability of the drive and maximizes end-to-end data integrity.

SanDisk’s new X300 client SSD is bundled with a downloadable SanDisk SSD Dashboard application, which is comprised of management tools including drive performance and health monitoring, manual or scheduled TRIM, notifications for firmware updates, and tips on how to maintain the drive at its peak operation. The SSD Dashboard also includes variety embedded applications such as the Apricorn EZ Gig IV cloning software, which allows users to create an exact replica of an old hard drive onto the new SanDisk X300 SSD in three easy steps.
