Very similar to the Seagate Game Drive For Xbox we reviewed last year, this newer version will more than likely be just as easy to setup and use with enough performance to give games good load times. 2TB gives gamers roughly 50 games that can be stored on the drive. Now that Microsoft was been giving away 2-4 free games a month with its Games With Gold program, gamers can download everything that comes out to give it a try when time permits. Gamers can also take their games with them to a friend’s house. The drive is small and easily portable with no need of a power source.

Instead of just reskinning an existing drive, Seagate is also adding two Gear Packs to help players fight against Gears of War 4’s ferocious new enemies – the Swarm. The Gear Packs unlock special character and weapon skins as well as XP boosting bounties for use with Gears Of War 4.

Availability

The Seagate Gears Of War 4 Special Edition Portable Drive is expected to ship in September of this year (the game is set for a launch date of October 11, 2016 on Xbox One and Windows). The drive can be preordered exclusively though Gamestop for $99.99. The drive is only available in limited quantities.
