There has been quite a bit of buzz about drones in the last few years, from hobbyists, to buzzing planes, to protesters, to professional camera work. The drone market is growing larger and more serious and the data that is now being generated by drones has blown up. In order to help pilots and creative professionals deal with this large about of data, Seagate and DJI have introduced the Fly Drive. A 2TB portable drive with a microSD card slot that enables the ability to quickly transfer data off of the card and secure it to be edited later.

The Fly Drive has 2TB or over 60 hours of 4K 30fps video footage. This translates into 250 flights on a DJI Mavic Pro drone. The Fly Drive also has a microSD slot to let users quickly offload footage in the field. Taking any equipment in the field can fill most enthusiasts with dread, to assuage fears, the Fly Drive comes with a protective bumper. Inside the bumper is the drives USB-C cord. USB 3.1 allows for fast transfer speeds and is compatible with both Mac and PC. Users can start editing videos from day one as the Fly Drive comes with two free months of Adobe Premiere Pro CC, the industry’s leading video editing software.
