We reviewed the PX04S last August and found it to be one of the best performing and highest capacity SAS drives at the time of the writing. Over a year later the PX04S has yet to be dethroned as the best performing SAS drive in our lab. Not only does the PX04S have great performance it also provides the highest level of security for an SSD with its FIPS 140-2 certification.

NetApp is seizing on the benefits of the PX04S and is shipping both its FAS and E-Series systems with the SSDs. Not only will this provide customers with some of the highest performing SAS SSDs on the market, they are also extremely secure. Meaning that their customers will enjoy high performance that is needed for some mission critical workloads, as well as knowing that their data is secure.
