CalDigit has announced that their T3 Thunderbolt 2 RAID storage solution is available for pre-order now and will be shipping on October 24th. The updated version of the T3 now features Thunderbolt 2 connectivity as well as a higher maximum storage capacity of 15TB. The T3 supports RAID 0, RAID1 and JBOD configurations and includes a upgraded 5 year warranty. CalDigit is also giving away a free AV Pro drive reader to consumer who pre-order the 9TB, 12TB or 15TB models of the T3.

CalDigit’s T3 Thunderbolt 2 can achieve speeds up to 1,100MB/s when used with SSDs and speeds of 580MB/s with 3.5” HDDs. The T3’s 3-bay design also allows the device to offer significantly faster performance than traditional 2-bay storage devices and enables higher storage capacities of up to 15TB with 3.5” HDDs installed.
The previous generation of the T3 offered impressive speed, capacity, and versatility, which is perfect for media professionals working with heavy workloads and large file sets. It also was the only 3-Bay RAID device that allowed users to use both 2.5" SSD and 3.5" HDD at the same time. Now, with the T3’s dual Thunderbolt 2 ports on the new T3, professionals will be able to seamlessly integrate a 4K workflow as well as the ability to easily connect a 4K monitor as part of the daisy-chain.
