EMC has announced they are integrating EMC Isilon Scale-Out NAS with Cloudera's Enterprise Data Hub, which enables users to access and analyze data in an agile environment. EMC and Pivotal have also announced an update to their Data Lake Bundle.

The joint effort between EMC and Cloudera opens up new analytic capabilities for Isilon customers to analyze their data easily and effectively. This will hasten the use of Hadoop in enterprise environments. Isilon customers will be able to run Cloudera Enterprise on their data saving time and money that would have been used offloading their data onto a separate DAS device. All structured and unstructured data can be quickly and efficiently converted.

The new update to the EMC/Pivotal Data Lake bundle will enable scale-out storage, scale-out compute, and Big Data analytics. Data Lakes continue to gain momentum for prepping Big Data for analysis. These updates will meet customer needs of their data anytime, anywhere.

These announcements further the value of EMC's Data like strategy while demonstrating EMC's commitment to enterprise Hadoop. The new integration and update give organizations the flexibility to choose the Hadoop vendor that is right for them.
