Today, HP announced new ChromeOS-based laptops to aid the paradigm shift from on-site to remote work. Portability and connectivity are the name of the game with these products:
- The HP Pro c640 Chromebook Enterprise is the thinnest 14” business Chromebook on the market and is equipped with WiFi 6.
- The HP Elite c1030 Chromebook Enterprise has optional LTE connectivity.
- The HP Chromebook Enterprise 14 G6 claims up to 13.5 hours of battery life with HP Fast Charge capabilities.
- The HP mt22 Mobile Thin Client is purpose-built for VDI and has HP’s Extended Range Wireless LAN.
Security is important as well with these devices, with the HP Elite c1030 offering a privacy screen, and most models offering fingerprint scanners and webcam shutters.

In addition to ChromeOS, the HP mt22 Mobile Thin Client runs HP’s ThinPro OS, which is designed for cloud-centric solutions and virtual desktop infrastructure. HP is also offering this OS as a standalone bootable USB to turn any machine into a secure remote workstation.
