Lenovo Expands Its ThinkPad Portfolio

Lenovo announced an expanded ThinkPad portfolio of mobile workstations. This expansion covers 13 new models (and a monitor) with both Intel 11th gen Core vPro and AMD Ryzen 5000 processors. The announcement today covers redesigned X13 and X13 Yoga along with the updated T and L series. The expanded portfolio aims to address the recent shift to cloud-based environments.

Lenovo announced an expanded ThinkPad portfolio of mobile workstations. This expansion covers 13 new models (and a monitor) with both Intel 11th gen Core vPro and AMD Ryzen 5000 processors. The announcement today covers redesigned X13 and X13 Yoga along with the updated T and L series. The expanded portfolio aims to address the recent shift to cloud-based environments.

The new Lenovo ThinkPads offer plenty of choice, it should with over a dozen models, and configurations to best suit their needs. Certain models are available with either Intel or AMD CPUs and will be offered in either black or storm grey. Some models are able to be configured with either an AMD Radeon or NVIDIA GPU. The portfolio comes with security options such as a Match-on-Chip fingerprint reader, which is integrated into the power button for ease of use on some models, and a human presence detection sensor on Intel models that offers zero-touch log-in through Windows Hello facial recognition.

ThinkVision P40w

Starting with the monitor, the Lenovo P40w is a 39.7-inch monitor with 21:9 aspect ratio and 5120 x 2160 WUHD resolution. The monitor is said to reduce eye fatigue through a combination of Natural Low Blue Light technology and TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe Display Certification. The monitor doubles as a USB-C dock with 12 ports including two Thunderbolt 4 ports. Key features include:

  • 2500R curvature with tilt, swivel and lift ergonomic stand and VESA mount compatible

ThinkPad T Series

The Lenovo ThinkPad T Series has expanded to include the ThinkPad T14s i, T14 i and T15 powered by 11th Gen Intel Core vPro processors, and ThinkPad T14s and T14 powered by AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Mobile Processors. Like the rest of the T Series, the new models are focused on productivity. The workstations are highly configurable so they can be tailored to specific user needs. The ThinkPad T14 i offers features designed for healthcare professionals, including an antimicrobial surface treatment, FIPS-201 compliant fingerprint reader with RFID reader, and optional Privacy Guard displays help keep confidential patient data more protected. Key features include:

  • Up to 11th Gen Intel Core vPro or latest AMD Ryzen 5000 Mobile Processors
  • Up to 14” UHD HDR Dolby Vision and 500nit or 15.6” UHD HDR Dolby Vision and 600nit
  • Intel UHD graphics, Intel Iris Xe or NVIDIA MX450; integrated AMD Radeon Graphics on AMD Ryzen Processor models
  • Intel Wi-Fi 6E (Intel models), Intel Wi-Fi 6 (AMD and select Intel models)
  • Optional 5G sub-6 or 2×2 MIMO CAT12 4G on ThinkPad T14s i and T14s; up to 4×4 MIMO CAT16 4G on T14 i; up to 2×2 MIMO CAT16 4G on T15
  • Up to FHD Hybrid Infrared (IR) webcam on T14s models, HD or HD Hybrid IR on T14 and T15
  • Dolby Audio Speaker System with user-facing speakers
  • ThinkShield security features including Match-on-Chip Fingerprint Reader (integrated into power button on T14s models) and Human Presence Detection on T14s i

ThinkPad X13 and X13 Yoga

Lenovo Thinkpad x13 yoga

The Lenovo ThinkPad X13 and X13 Yoga are a blend of performance and high-portability. The ThinkPad X13 i and X13 Yoga are both powered by the 11th Gen Intel Core vPro processors while the ThinkPad X13 is powered by the AMD Ryzen 500 Series Mobile processors. The smaller laptops now feature 16:10 ratio displays. Key features include:

  • Up to 11th Gen Intel Core vPro or latest AMD Ryzen 5000 Mobile Processors
  • Up to 13.3” WQXGA 16:10 aspect ratio with Low Blue Light technology.
  • Intel Iris Xe graphics; integrated AMD Radeon Graphics on AMD Ryzen Processor models
  • Intel Wi-Fi 6 or 6E on ThinkPad X13 i, Intel Wi-Fi 6 on X13 and X13 Yoga
  • Optional 5G sub-6 or 2×2 MIMO CAT12 4G on ThinkPad X13 i and X13; up to 2×2 MIMO CAT12 4G on X13 Yoga
  • Up to FHD Hybrid Infrared (IR) webcam on X13 models, HD or HD Hybrid IR on X13 Yoga
  • Dolby Audio Speaker System, with user-facing speakers on X13
  • ThinkShield security features including Match-on-Chip Fingerprint Reader integrated into power button and Human Presence Detection on Intel models

ThinkPad L Series

Expanding past the L13 and L13 Yoga, Lenovo is now offering the ThinkPad L14 and L15 as well as the ThinkPad L14 i and L15 i. Again the i versions support Intel and the non-i versions support AMD. The new L Series models aimed at providing better security and connectivity. Key features include:

  • Up to 11th Gen Intel Core vPro or latest AMD Ryzen 5000 Mobile Processors
  • Up to 14” FHD or 15” FHD displays.
  • Intel UHD graphics, Intel Iris Xe or NVIDIA MX450; integrated AMD Radeon Graphics on AMD Ryzen processor models
  • Intel Wi-Fi 6 and up to 2×2 MIMO CAT12 4G
  • HD or HD Hybrid IR webcam
  • Dolby Audio
  • ThinkShield security features including Match-on-Chip Fingerprint Reader and SecureBio self-healing BIOS

ThinkPad P Series

Lenovo has expanded the P Series with the addition of the ThinkPad P14s, P14s i and P15s. These workstations are designed to run popular programs such as AutoCAD LT, Autodesk Revit and SolidWorks. Both the 14” and 15” can be configured with NVIDIA T500 discrete graphics boasting increased CUDA cores, enhanced performance and 4GB of VRAM. Key features include:

  • Up to 11th Gen Intel Core vPro or latest AMD Ryzen 5000 Mobile Processors
  • Up to 14” UHD HDR Dolby Vision 500nit or 15.6” UHD HDR Dolby Vision 600nit
  • Up to Intel Iris Xe or NVIDIA T500 graphics; integrated AMD Radeon Graphics with AMD Ryzen Processors on P14s model only
  • Wi-Fi 6E (Intel models), Wi-Fi 6 (AMD)
