This week, Lenovo expanded its popular ultra-small form factor workstations or Nano desktops with two new models, the Lenovo ThinkCentre M75n and M75n IoT Nano. At just 350ml, the ThinkCentre M75n is the smallest desktop yet in the company’s portfolio making it attractive for places where space is limited. The two new M75n models are powered by AMD CPUs, SSDs, and Windows 10.

Previously we reviewed both the Lenovo ThinkCentre M90n Nano and the Lenovo ThinkCentre M90n-1 Nano IoT. We found both to give good performance for their small sizes and come with enough connectivity for most use cases. Lenovo announced that the M90n is now available with 4G/LTE WWAN for enhanced high-speed connectivity in more remote locations. The new Lenovo ThinkCentre M75n will most likely bring more of the same with a different processor for different use cases.

First looking at the ThinkCentre M75n IoT, being an IoT specific device, it is ideal for edge computing in places such as warehouses, retail stores, or healthcare environments. The workstation comes with an AMD Athlon CPU that the company says can protect, collect, analyze and interpret real-time data from multiple sources. The device supports Bluetooth and WiFi connections and can be used as a Thin Client for those that are now working from home. The M75n IoT supports several OS options, which helps in the case of it being used and managed as a Thin Client.
