Avere has been around for almost a decade. They are primarily known to allow users to store data on-prem but have easy access to the cloud. This helps assuage some concerns users may have about using the cloud as well as aide in migration to the cloud. What’s interesting here is that, while Avere works with Azure, it mainly promotes how it works with AWS and Google Cloud Platform, Azure competitors. One would assume a tighter integration with Azure following the acquisition while continuing support for AWS and GCP.
