Transcend unveiled its first 64GB Class 10 SDXC card today. Designed for HD video recording and digital photography, it has a transfer rate up to 25MB/s.

Toshiba has announced a product designed to encourage enterprises to move to smaller 2.5-inch form factor hard drives. The MBF2xxLRC is a 2.5-inch enterprise HDD mounted in a 3.5-inch bracket.

Iomega has launched its latest line of portable hard drives, Skin. Each drive has 500GB of space with a series of unique designs applied via a "skin" on the exterior of the case. 

Western Digital has upped the capacity on their speedy line of notebook drives to 500GB from 320GB. The WD5000BEKT is a standard size 7200 RPM 2.5" hard drive with 16MB cache. 

Corsair today announced its popular password-protected Padlock 2 thumb drive is now available in a 16GB capacity. The Padlock 2 uses a PIN entered directly on the drive’s integrated keypad and has 256-bit AES encryption.

Toshiba has launched their highest-capacity embedded NAND flash modules to date – 128GB. The module is designed for use in consumer products including smartphones, tablet PCs, and digital video cameras.

OCZ has launched  two new1.8" SSD families designed for the small notebook and ultra-portable computing space. The 1.8" OCZ Vertex 2 offers high performance and a SandForce controller while the 1.8" OCZ Onyx SSD is a mainstream model with Indilinx processor. 

Anobit has introduced their Genesis line of enterprise SSDs, which they claim are the first MLC SSDs to achieve enterprise-class reliability courtesy of their Memory Signal Processing technology.

Samsung has released a new external DVD writer, the SE-S084D optical disk drive. The slim drives are as much about form as function, picking up an iF Product Design Award.
