VMware took advantage of VMware Explore to announce the introduction of vSAN 8 with Express Storage Architecture (ESA). This next-generation storage architecture has been significantly overhauled to run high-performance workloads on the latest hardware. ESA is an optional alternative to the current vSAN original storage architecture and will be available to run on qualified hardware

Dell and VMware have co-engineered HCI solutions supporting Data Processing Units (DPUs) running on VxRail to expand VMware’s edge capabilities. Dell has also made huge strides in engineering with the addition of a new 2-node VxRail system with a special integrated hardware witness.

NVIDIA used VMware Explore to announce a new data center solution with Dell Technologies bringing AI training, AI inference, data processing, data science, and zero-trust security capabilities to enterprises globally. NetApp, VMware, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have announced the general availability of VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC) integration with Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP (FSxN). This announcement also highlights FSxN as the first and only third-party certified and supported supplemental datastore for VMC.

In a joint announcement this morning, NetApp and VMware indicated they will be expanding the companies’ longstanding global alliance. They will target three major customer-driven initiatives aimed at helping customers reduce the cost, risk, and complexity of migrating enterprise-class workloads to a multi-cloud environment.

VMware and Ethereum? What do those two technologies have in common? VMware has now added Ethereum to its VMware blockchain platform which allows companies to run networks and applications.
