New 9.6TB and 19.2TB models with preinstalled E1.S SSDs targeting media pros, now available in Core i5 and i3 configurations.
QNAP has introduced two new versions of its TBS-h574TX NASbook (TBS-h574TX-i5-16G and TBS-h574TX-i3-12G), both shipping with preinstalled enterprise-grade E1.S SSDs and designed to handle demanding media production workflows. Offered in 9.6TB and 19.2TB capacities, the compact NAS devices come in two processor configurations: an Intel Core i5-1340PE and an Intel Core i3-1320PE, giving media teams options based on workload and budget.
The TBS-h574TX is designed primarily for video editors, VFX artists, and mobile production teams that need speed, reliability, and quiet operation in a portable form factor. Both models share the same compact chassis and hot-swappable drive design, making them well-suited for on-location work or desktop environments with limited space.

The all-flash storage system features five E1.S drive bays, each compatible with either E1.S or M.2 NVMe SSDs using adapters. These bays support hot swapping, allowing users to replace drives without interrupting active projects. Conditional automatic RAID rebuilds are also supported, helping to maintain data protection without downtime if a drive fails.
Where the two models differ is in compute performance: The higher-end variant features the Intel Core i5-1340PE, a 12-core processor (four performance and eight efficiency cores). The second model uses the Intel Core i3-1320PE with eight cores (four performance cores and four efficiency cores). Both chips are based on Intel’s 13th Gen architecture and support multithreaded processing, making them suitable for editing, transcoding, or backing up large media files.

The TBS-h574TX also supports dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, allowing direct connections to Mac or Windows workstations. Built-in 10GbE and 2.5GbE networking ensure that multiple users can collaborate on large files with minimal lag. For media ingest and file transfers, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports offer 10 Gbps speeds, and an HDMI output supports real-time 4K video playback or monitoring.
Each model runs QNAP’s QuTS hero operating system, based on ZFS. This provides built-in snapshot capabilities, SSD optimization features, and end-to-end data integrity protection, making it a reliable choice for teams managing sensitive content or working under tight deadlines.
