Both eSSDs are come with power loss and end-to-end data protection features as well as a common controller and mechanical design. In addition, the HK3R2 and HK3E2 Series use Toshiba’s proprietary QSBC (Quadruple Swing-By Code) error-correction technology, which is their efficient error correction code (ECC) that helps to protect customer data from corruption caused by NAND flash memory media wear. As a result, it can improve reliability and extend the lifespan of Toshiba SSDs. Both new series also feature a Toshiba-designed SATA SSD controller and Toshiba 19nm second generation MLC NAND flash.
