As more companies move to all-flash arrays, they will be looking for solutions that don’t require extensive storage infrastructure changes and solutions that have built in strong services such as encryption. K2 is engineered with 256-bit AES key technology and ensures no data is available on SSDs after deletion. This built in encryption demonstrates Kaminario’s dedication to design best-of-breed flash solutions serving all critical needs for midrange customers.

As we mentioned earlier, Kaminario has tripled customer bookings since the release of its fifth-generation K2 arrays. Now they have quadrupled customer bookings. Along with existing investors such as Sequoia Capital, Pitango, Globespan, Tenaya and Mitsui, Kaminario has raised $53 million in funding with new investors Silicon Valley Bank and Lazarus Hedge Fund. Kaminario has maintained the highest customer satisfaction rate in the industry and continues to do so by adding features such as the above encryption abilities. Kaminario continues to rapidly grow its customer base and hit other achievements such as:

  • Being named a visionary in Gartner’s 2014 first annual Magic Quadrant for Solid-State Arrays based on its unique scale up/scale-out architecture, an average price of $2/GB with the industry’s only guaranteed effective capacity and strong R&D and engineering support
  • Consistently featured in the top three solutions across six use cases in Gartner’s Critical Capabilities for Solid State arrays
  • Received the “Most Innovative Flash Memory Technology” at the Flash Memory Summit
  • And expanded its channel partner network to 70+ US-based partners
