Silicon Valley startup Pure Storage has taken itself out of stealth mode by introducing its first product, an all-flash memory based enterprise-level storage array. LaCie has announced its NAS OS 2.0, an update to its existing operating system for its network-attached storage (NAS) devices. LaCie cites improved usability, performance, RAID management, and backup. It additionally offers remote file access.

Corsair has added 60GB and 90GB capacities to their family of Force GT and Force 3 SSDs. The 90GB drives are the first SandForce SF-2200 SATA 6Gb/s SSDs to ship thus far. While they may be small in capacity, these SSDs still offer tremendous speeds, with the 60GB Force GT cranking out 555 MB/s reads.

In late July, we reported on an issue that affected all Intel SSD 320 models which under certain power conditions could render the drives inoperable. Called the “Bad Context 13x Error”, this problem caused drives to show as 8MB in capacity and users would lose their ability to read or write from the SSD. Intel
