Toshiba has launched their highest-capacity embedded NAND flash modules to date – 128GB. The module is designed for use in consumer products including smartphones, tablet PCs, and digital video cameras.

OCZ has launched  two new1.8" SSD families designed for the small notebook and ultra-portable computing space. The 1.8" OCZ Vertex 2 offers high performance and a SandForce controller while the 1.8" OCZ Onyx SSD is a mainstream model with Indilinx processor.

For the second time in a week, we’re seeing a new 12x read Blu-ray drive. This time it’s Samsung, with their SH-B123. 

The new Icy Dock MB991IK-B is a 2.5" SATA/SAS mobile rack for use in 3.5" drive bays. The design supports 2.5" drives up to 15mm in height and offers plenty of ventilation for high performance drives. 

At a promotional event in New York this week, Samsung has launched their latest desktop hard drive, the Spinpoint F4. The F4 features a single 320GB platter and thanks to the elimination of halogen compound and brominated flame retardant from the PCBA, the Spinpoint F4 meets all the environmental regulations including RoHS.

Super Talent has released the TeraDrive CT SSD which uses the SandForce SF-1200 processor to deliver read and write speeds up to 285 and 275 MB/sec respectively. Super Talent joins a lengthening list of SSD providers leveraging the speedy SF-1200 processor. 

OCZ has launched the Deneva Series SSDs for the enterprise, leveraging the SandForce SF-1500 processor and SLC, MLC and eMLC NAND options. The drives feature speeds of up to 285MB/s read and 275MB/s write; and 4KB random writes up to 50,000 IOPS.
