Pliops, known for innovative data processors in cloud and enterprise data centers, is at it again making waves at the Gartner IT Infrastructure, Operations, and Cloud Strategies Conference, unveiling the latest iteration of their Pliops Extreme Data Processor (XDP) and showcasing a groundbreaking MongoDB solution, touted as the fastest available.

Since its initial launch in 2021, the Pliops XDP has revolutionized data center capabilities, setting new standards in scaling and efficiency. This processor is a powerhouse, enhancing a wide array of applications and platforms, including relational and NoSQL databases, analytics, AI/ML, 5G, IoT, and more. The new generation of XDP promises to double the performance and capacity of its already impressive predecessor. For those who aren’t up on Pliops, we have a very deep dive here.

Ido Bukspan, Pliops CEO, emphasized the company’s commitment to overcoming the challenges of sustainability, performance, and scalability in the modern, dynamic landscape. Bukspan highlighted Pliops’ role in redefining data infrastructure optimization and workload acceleration, particularly in the AI era.

Pliops’ XDP Data Services, running on the Pliops XDP, significantly boosts application performance, storage reliability, and overall efficiency in data center infrastructure. A standout feature is the XDP-AccelDB, a top-tier database accelerator for SQL applications. This technology can enhance MongoDB application performance by up to tenfold and reduce total cost of ownership by as much as 95 percent.

For MongoDB administrators and IT professionals, Pliops offers solutions in several key areas, including:

  • Optimizing capacity at both node and cluster levels
  • Tailoring MongoDB infrastructure to meet specific application and performance needs
  • Ensuring availability and swift recovery as per SLAs
  • Streamlining overall database operations, including backup, recovery, and data loading
  • Economically expanding MongoDB’s footprint

Additionally, Pliops is collaborating with Lenovo to address IT infrastructure challenges related to data storage, processing, and analysis.

Looking ahead, Pliops plans to release XDP for MongoDB applications in Q1 2024 for proof of concept. This move is poised to further solidify Pliops’ position as an innovator in data processing technology.
